Canines to take over Mutz Park

It will be canine heaven this weekend at Mutz Park in Ferris as the Ferris Parks and Recreation Department hosts the city’s first ever Mutts at Mutz Park event. Pet owners and residents are encouraged to bring their furry four-legged friends to the park on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mutz Memorial Park is located at 598 S Mabel St, in Ferris. According to organizers the event will feature competitions, demonstrations and dog related booths and some free stuff for all fur babies, big and small. Canines themselves are not the only ones who are going to have fun there will be food for owners and humans as well. Professional photos of pets will be available as well, and will feature a kissing booth photo opportunity. Ferris Park Board officials said all dogs should be leashed since there is no fence at the park during the event. The event will also have water stations set up for the dogs.
