Charity gearing up for big event

Give a Kid a Chance’s annual back-to-school event draws ever closer, but event organizer Marty Nelson said they still need financial donations to help bring it all together.

Nelson said Mission Ennis Bridge Builders has $20,000 in the bank to pay for new clothes and school supplies for a little over 1,000 children this year, but need $5,000 more to be fully funded.
