City Commission exploring new water meter technology

Pat Youngblood, owner of Pat’s Pet Parlor, was a little surprised to learn some $1,500 had been auto drafted from her bank account by the city’s utilities department after a recent water bill payment. The water consumption is still a mystery and the city has investigated why Youngblood was charged such a high amount, even after the city determined that there were no major leaks at Youngblood’s residence.
