A love that lasts: Margie Norum shares advice to families facing Alzheimer’s

Randy Bryan Bigham

For locals, Palmer resident Margie Norum’s name and face are synonymous with the caring grace she’s imparted for 13 years to the public as volunteer coordinator for Family First Hospice. “I’m trying to keep involved,” she added, “to keep my mind challenged by volunteering, going to meetings and other community activities.”

Last weekend, Norum presented a moving speech on Alzheimer’s at the Silver Citizens luncheon held at the Ennis Housing Authority.
