CCPD spending still a question

Even if more commissioners had been present at Monday’s City Commission meeting, it’s likely a

proposed $150,000 grant from the Economic Development Corporation to the Crime Control and

Prevention District still would have failed.

Commissioner Ken Hackney, who serves as the CCPD board president, said Tuesday he would have

voted against the EDC budget amendment had he been at the meeting, which he missed due to family

health concerns.
