Most CCPD money to facilities

Tuesday night brought about more drama than a normal city commission meeting.

City manager Chuck Ewings’ resignation was only a part of that. The other contentious situation: the city’s Crime Control and Prevention District budget.

The bond election held and approved last year has helped the CCPD by providing roughly $750,000 in bond money for crime control purposes.
