Commission to vote on incentives program

The ordinances under consideration since October to provide incentives for downtown redevelopment are up for their first official vote after a public hearing by the Ennis City Commission on Monday.

Members of the board held a workshop to consider changes to the ordinance plans last week, reaching tweaks that included a new structure for historic grants to downtown property owners and a three-year “sunset” provision designed to force re-evaluation of the program in the short term.
