FEMA deadlines approach in Ellis County

Federal Emergency Management Agency assistance continues to aid those recovering from the May 4 through June 22 storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and floods to the tune of $306 million in federal grants, U.S. Small Business Administration low-interest disaster loans, and National Flood Insurance Program in approved claims.

While 47 counties have been declared eligible for assistance, the deadline is approaching for five Texas Counties to file for Disaster Unemployment Assistance, including Bowie, Brazoria, Cherokee, Ellis and Harrison.
