Flash Flood Watch Ellis County, Texas Start: 3:05 AM CDT May 1, 2019 DETAILS End: 7:05 PM CDT May 2, 2019 Johnson-Ellis-Henderson-Navarro- Including the cities of Cleburne, Burleson, Waxahachie, Ennis, Midlothian, Athens, Gun Barrel City, and Corsicana 337 AM CDT Wed May 1 2019 …FLASH FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH 7 PM CDT THURSDAY EVENING… The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has expanded the * Flash Flood Watch to include portions of north central Texas and northeast Texas, including the following areas, in north central Texas, Ellis, Johnson, and Navarro. In northeast Texas, Henderson. * Through Thursday evening * Rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches, with isolated amounts up to 6 inches possible. * Flash flooding may occur in urban and poor drainage areas. Heavy rainfall may also cause rapid flooding of creeks, streams and rivers. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions are favorable for heavy rain which may lead to flash flooding. You should monitor the latest forecasts from the National Weather Service and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued for your area.
