Crawfish boil raises $5K for EHS fishing team

You get a line and I’ll get a pole and we’ll go down to the crawdad hole was simplified last week when the newly forming Ennis High School bass fishing team sponsored a crawfish boil at KJT Hall. “There were 500 pounds of crawfish,” said sponsor and coach Tommy Copeland, “and we sold over 400 lbs. It was great to have such a show of support from the community. Either that, or folks just love fresh mud bugs.” They were shipped from Alexandria, La. on Friday morning and were cooked, both spicy and regular, that afternoon.
