District looks at replacing deputy super

EISD Superintendent Barbara Qualls said she is speaking with district principals and staff about how best to fill the Richard Skuza-sized hole left in the administration.

The district announced on July 17 the Jasper ISD school board chose Skuza as the lone finalist for its superintendent job.

Qualls said the district will function without Skuza for the time being, but “a number of people” have expressed interest in the job.
