EEDC gives approval to grant applications

The Ennis Economic Development Corporation gave its approval to historic preservation work by the MW Emporium group and Ennis Daily News this week.

Two tornado-damaged structures owned by Ross Massengill and George Wartsbaugh, as well as the Ennis Daily News, were up for consideration.

After a legal review, the proposals will return to the city commission for final approval — they passed preliminary approval with the board Feb. 3.
