EISD president says process to start anew


Ennis ISD announced on Tuesday their decision to suspend the current search for a new superintendent until after the start of 2019. The outcome of a meeting of the Board of Trustees on Saturday, in which they held another dialogue about the final trio of applicants, ended with the accord. Bill Honza, director of communications for the EISD, stated in a press release that while “all possessed excellent resumes and qualities, they were not deemed to be an appropriate fit for the district and the community at this time.” Those attending included the elected seven member Trustee Board, a representative from the search firm the district hired to help during the process and interim superintendent Lloyd Treadwell.
