EISD signs new Supt. to 3-year deal


Following a unanimous 7-0 vote of the EISD Board of Trustees on Wednesday night, Jay Tullos was approved to become the next superintendent of the Ennis Independent School District. He expects to begin on Monday, June 3. The search for a replacement commenced on May 16 when former Supt., Dr. John Chapman, III, after a 5-1 vote, succeeded the retiring Dr. Bobby C. Burns at the Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD. Mr. Tullos has been serving as superintendent for the Canton ISD since 2010.
