Ellis County residents advised to stay safe during storms


With spring upon us it is a good time to remind the citizens of Ellis county how the emergency management departments of the county and cities respond during storms. The emergency management coordinators in the county and municipalities continually receive information from the National Weather Service (NOA) about the possibility of severe weather. Depending on the frequency and severity of the storms will depend on how often they receive information. They take this information and are able to have a better understanding as to what the possibly of severe weather may be. There are a number of ways NOA will warn the public of severe weather. The most common one is the use of TV/Radio emergency broadcast. This in when the radio or TV make the annoying sound followed by a weather report.
