Police were dispatched to Compass Bank in Ennis Tuesday morning in regards to a bank robbery.
Lt. Mike Hopson, Ennis Police Department spokesman said any possible suspects had left the scene before police arrived, but he did not specify how many suspects there were.
Det. Sgt. Jason York said he was dispatched to look for a silver car north of the location but did not find one as he traveled as far north as Garrett, searching for the vehicle.
Multiple officers on the scene said they were notified of the suspected robbery by the bank’s security company.
York said the FBI was called in to take over the investigation.
No further information was available as of press time. See more details in Wednesday’s edition of The Ennis Daily News.
