Ennis cheer team, captains named

Ennis cheerleaders are anticipating plenty to cheer about this year, starting with the advent of the football season. Coach Heather Fincher recently announced the 16 members of the club, the mascot and co-captains for the 2018-2019 season. “I am very excited about this year’s team,” said Fincher, herself an Ennis cheerleader for six years. “I have an amazing group of seniors who are all wonderful leaders. The entire squad is very athletic and they work hard.” Spirited seniors Laynie Pustejovsky and Rylea Skinner were awarded captaincy. Both will provide leadership for the 14 others on the squad as well as sophomore Parker Carver, the Lions mascot. Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
