Ennis couple lives, loves to travel abroad

When Hank Snow and Johnny Cash sang “I’ve Been Everywhere,” they likely had no idea of the challenge their tune made for listeners. Ennis’ own globetrotters, Keith and Lisa Lowe, however, seem to do their quests with only a compass. Approaching retirement, the footloose and fabulous lovebirds are bent on going wherever the wind blows, says Lisa, and that presents limitless excursions. Keith, owner of Happy Pest Solutions, and his wife of 21 years, Lisa, who served as assistant principal at Ennis High School last year (and will do the same at Alamo H.S. this year), have been priming their aesthetic, future plans to travel by trekking on nine international trips since 2011 and another 18 jaunts to stateside destinations. They’re just warming up, too. “We’re driven by freedom,” Lisa said recently, “the freedom to see what we’ve never seen before.” The pair simply loves to travel, though Keith, a smooth, debonair businessman, hasn’t always shared Lisa’s affinity for busting a move.
