Ennis man arrested after short chase ends in wreck

Ennis police arrested a man Thursday after he led an officer on a short chase. Police said they arrested Timothy Dobbs, 47, of Ennis on two counts of theft of property and evading arrest or detention with a vehicle after an officer attempted to pull him over on Creechville Road. He was being held at the Ennis city jail on bonds of $7,500, police said. Police said on two separate occasions in November Dobbs stole merchandise from the Wal-Mart on Ennis Ave. Police obtained a felony warrant for Dobb’s arrest on Nov. 27.
