Ennis nurse committed for cancer 3-day

The Susan G. Komen Dallas-Fort Worth 3-Day for the Cure is set Nov. 4-6

To most people, walking 20 miles a day for three days straight sounds like an extreme commitment to finding a cure for breast cancer, but to Heather Hall, a local nurse, it’s something she can, and must, do.

Heather has joined thousands of women and men in preparing for the 2011 Susan G. Komen Dallas/ Fort Worth 3-Day for the Cure because 60 miles does not seem that far when compared to the battle breast cancer creates for so many people. Participants, many of whom are survivors, understand that a few blisters and sore legs do not come close to the struggles and pain brought on by breast cancer. They also realize that they can make a difference just by walking.
