Ennis starts well, but Seguin sweeps match

Mark Warde, editor@ennisdailynews.com

Three good starts by the Ennis varsity volleyball team didn’t translate into strong finishes on Tuesday. Visiting Arlington Seguin collected a three-set match, 3-0; 25-22, 25-12 and 25-23.

Head coach Jonathan Newton’s team, now 14-16 overall, had a chance to tie the Cougars in the District 14-5A standings, instead slipped to 1-6. Seguin improved to 16-15 and 3-4.
