Ennis WWII Veteran Parma Honored

Edward Parma, of Ennis, was among 30 World War II Veterans who were honored by the Gary Sinise Foundation through the “Soaring Valor” Program. The foundation partners with American Airlines and Sheraton Hotels to provide an honor flight and tour of the National World War II Museum in New Orleans for veterans, along with festivities, camaraderie and various events to recognize their service. Veterans and their guardians were greeted at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport on July 26 with a special hero’s welcome by actor/humanitarian Gary Sinise who spent three red-carpet days with the group. Edward’s wife, Adail, accompanied him along with several family members who joined in the private tour of the museum and veterans’ receptions.
