Erisman unseats Casillas; Chapman wins over Linson


Ennis Police Chief John Erisman beat incumbent Candido “Candi” Casillas in Place 4 while incumbent Bill Chapman beat out Alan Linson in Place 5 during Saturday’s school board election. Walter Beasley, Place 3 incumbent, was running unopposed. Erisman captured 698 (58.7 percent) of the vote’s 1,202 votes cast, while Casillas captured 504 (41.9 percent) of the votes. As for the Place 5 race, Chapman captured 868 (73 percent) votes while incumbent Linson garnered 321 (27 percent) of the 1,189 votes cast.
