Ferris takes out Godley 20-15

Mike Williamson, Special to the EDN

On Friday night the Ferris Yellowjackets traveled to Godley to take on the Wildcats in their home stadium and managed to eke out a win. Things started out a little rough for the Yellowjackets as Godley took the opening kickoff down the field scoring on a 69 yard run on the third play of the game.

The Jacket offense struggled on its first possession as it went three and out on its first drive. However, the defense got tough and stopped the Wildcats giving the ball back to the Ferris offense.

With its second possession of the night the Ferris moved the ball down the field. The drive culminated in a five yard touchdown run by RB Jay Foster, knotting the game at seven.
