Former purchaser plans suit

Ellis County’s former purchasing agent said Wednesday she “absolutely” plans to sue the county after her termination, which she believes violates the Texas Whistleblower Act.

Alisha Wickens has accused the Ellis County?Commissioners Court of violating purchasing laws in its dealings with a professional services provider. She and her lawyer have alleged her June 26 termination was a response to those allegations.
