Forney steals win in Ennis with late rally

Kayla Prachyl played well enough to win with a team-high three hits, and the first baseman also delivered a double play.

Both Ennis and Forney had a bad defensive inning in Thursday’s game one of the Region 2 final that led to four runs, but the trouble for Lady Lion softball came late in the ballgame and it allowed the visitors to take a 6-5 lead they wouldn’t relinquish.

The Lady Lions (35-5-1) also lost the first game before bouncing back to win the series against both Pflugerville Hendrickson and Frisco Wakeland, so the players know it’s not mission impossible. Forney finished with more hits (10-8) and errors (3-2).
