WAXAHACHIE — Republican candidates packed the Waxahachie Civic Center on Thursday to share their views and plans ahead of the March 4 primary election, which for several races will be decided long before the November general election.

For two hours candidates in races ranging from the State Representative seat soon to be left open by the retiring Jim Pitts to County Commissioner seats in Precincts 2 and 4 spoke on their beliefs in small government and fiscal restraint.
