From water and pain, relief found in Ennis

When it rains, it pours, literally and figuratively for Allena Johnson and her family. Just when the Hurricane Harvey evacuees had escaped Houston’s floodwaters, they happened to find misfortune and wondrous relief when they arrived in Ennis. Forced out of their home as surging waters engulfed one of their cars, their flight to the safety of her mom’s home in Beaumont was thwarted when they discovered that she, too, had departed on a flight to New Jersey. “We were an emotional wreck on Friday night, then the sun came out the next day.
