The Ennis Garden Club donated $1,000 to the Indian Trail Texas Master Naturalist Chapter Thursday evening at the Ennis Public Library. The $1,000 check presentation was part of a Kachina Prairie Symposium, sponsored by the Master Naturalist Chapter, the EGC, the City of Ennis and Texas Land Conservancy.

A new $1,700 bison statue was also unveiled by the Master Naturalist Chapter. It will be placed near the Kachina Prairie walking trail and will commemorate the local remnant of the original Texas Blackland Prairie along with the bison that roamed the land.
