Gas Prices Soar After Hurricane Harvey

Gasoline shortages have rippled through not only the the Houston area but the entire state and prices are rising for the entire country as Hurricane Harvey continues to cause havoc on the energy industry. U.S. motorists are likely to experience average increases of 10 cents per gallon to 20 cents per gallon because of the storm, GasBuddy.com reported Tuesday. That’s up from a previous forecast of 5
cents to 15 cents per gallon. Motorists who stopped to get gas at Valero stations and H-E-B in Waxahachie were surprised to learn that both were out of gas while other stations were left was just premium gasoline.
