Girls’ CC takes second in Kaufman

The Ennis Lions Cross-Country team traveled to Kaufman on Saturday to open the season in the Run with the Lions Invitational.

The Lady Lions Varsity squad took second in their first meet of the season with 98 points.

The team was led by freshman Alyssa Noel covering the two mile course in 13:50 for a sixth place finish. Anastsia Andrade finish 11th in 14:53, followed by Latisha Melendez in 19th, 15:24, Carolina Hernandez in 28th, 16:20, Merideth Velezquez in 34th, 16:41, Grace Alston in 35th, 16:46 and Jessica Gomez in 38th, 17:11.
