Nick Todaro, nick@ennisdailynews.com

Palmer police chased a handcuffed motorcyclist into Ennis on Saturday night.

Palmer Police Department spokesman Cpl. Phil Shelton said the chase, which began at a Chevron in Palmer, started out as a warrant service call at the gas station. Ronald Gillespie, 53, of Dallas was wanted for parole violation on an aggravated robbery charge and slipped out of custody in handcuffs.

“He managed to escape from custody, got on a bike and took off,” Shelton said.
