Hearing Thursday about widening FM 664

Texas Department of Transportation has announced a public hearing on Thursday, Nov. 15, related to the proposed widening of FM 664. The meeting is slated for two hours, starting at 6 p.m. at the Live Oak Professional Development Center in Red Oak. The purpose of the meeting is to present the planned improvement of the east-west Farm to Market Road 664, from a rural two-lane undivided roadway into a rural six-lane divided roadway. It would include a raised median with curbs and guttering. The proposed improvements will stretch from East Ovilla Road at IH-35E to Ferris Road at IH-45. The project would likely relieve congestion on the current roadway as more residents, businesses and industries move into the area.
