DALLAS — A full-scale hunt for an 11-year-old’s body is under way in southern Ellis County this afternoon.

In a press conference held Saturday, Sherryl Scott, deputy chief of the Dallas Police Department, told reporters Johnathan Ramsey was missing and suspected dead after interviews with family members.

On Friday, the boy’s grandfather Edward Ramsey met with DPD patrol officers and reported he had not seen his grandson for nine months to a year. Police interviewed father Aaron Ramsey and stepmother Elizabeth Ramsey, and Scott said the two gave conflicting stories about what happened to the child. What they did learn was the child had been injured and it was possibly a lethal injury, Scott said. The boy’s father and stepmother face charges of injury to a child and could face murder charges.

Multiple agencies are on the scene along Ensign Road in Ellis County, including DPD, the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.

“It is very frustrating that it was such a long time it escaped everyone’s attention,” Scott said. “Something could have been done.”

So apparently, Aaron and his wife were expecting triplets, his son hit her and caused her to lose them, so he struck the child in the chest in addition to slowly starving him. He had locked him in his room and was only feeding him bread and water or milk as punishment, until one day he found him unresponsive. He allegedly bathed him, put him in a sleeping bag and drove him to Ennis to dispose of him. Aaron knew this area well because he grew up in Ennis. What is wrong with all these people? Ennis is a small town, we should not have the types of crime here that we are seeing more and more.

So sad to hear!!! Where is his birth mother? Why didn’t anyone report anything? So no one visiting the family, at the store, or anywhere else noticed the condition of this child diminish, or wonder why the child was mot going to school, or dropped out without returning? I can’t believe no one noticed his dissappearance!!! My heart goes out to this child, may they find his body and let him rest and the responsible person or people get the rightful punishment that is due them…. God willing!!! I really wish I could post that I hope they find him elsewhere alive and safe!!!! May he live happily in Heaven with a good, rightful, and truly loving Father!!!!

a young boy caused the new wife to lose triplets, maybe that was the catalyst. I fell and hit my 7 month pregnant belly and only bruised myself. Even if this was punishment why so long. So horrible to do to a child. But where is the mother of this child? Why wasn’t she concerned.?

They should have been asking that question in the very beginning!!! Where is the birth mother? Why hasn’t the school system noticed a missing child (unless he didn’t go to school this year)? Has anyone else visiting the family noticed that he was nowhere to be found or that he was not looking or acting healthy or happy any more? Someone had to notice!!!

The bio mom lives in New Mexico. She got custody of one child and he got the other child. She tried and tried calling to talk to her son and the father always had an excuse. My heart goes out to this child and what he had to bear. Noone of any age should have to go through this, espically a child. God tells us in his word that in the last days we will see things that are unexplainable. This father and stepmother will pay dearly for their actions, wheather it is her on earth or after.
