Icy roads cause accidents countywide

Snow and ice is a sign of fun and play for kids, but for adults who aren’t used to driving on it, it can be a nightmare.

The Ennis Police Department reported 18 motor vehicle crashes caused by winter road conditions in Ennis between Sunday and Wednesday. Lucky for the drivers involved, none of those resulted in major injury.

Lt. Mike Hopson, EPD spokesperson, said it felt like too many to count and that some were bad accidents.
“There was a fifth-wheel travel trailer that tipped over, and a couple other bad ones,” he said.
