Lady Lions trample Terrell in district finale

Before it began what coach Rodney McNeill hopes is a lengthy playoff run, Lady Lion softball had to wrap up its regular season on Friday evening.

Ennis (25-10, 13-3) headed to Terrell and McNeill decided right fielder Megan Hickman would be the only normal starter to take the field against the Tigers in the 10-4 victory. It proved to be a wise choice, as the coach of Ennis’ first round opponent — Bryan Rudder High School — was in the home stands scouting. The Lady Lions finished with more hits (11-6) and errors (3-2).
