Last barricades are down

Ennis residents saw their downtown on Friday shed the last scraps of wood that stood sentry over damage caused by last May’s tornado.
Marty Nelson, Ennis Economic Development Director, said the final engineering assessments clearing the former Sports Connection property at 218 W. Ennis Ave. came in and City Manager Chuck Ewings jumped on the opportunity.
