Lionbackers prepare for 2013 season

EDN Photo by Dave A. Vance / Athletic director and head football coach Jack Alvarez requested the Lionbackers Booster Club purchase a new water cow for the high school athletic program. The committee authorized the purchase of two water cows for an approximate total cost of $3,400. One of the old water cows will be repaired and given to the junior high athletic program.

The Ennis Lionbackers Booster Club met Monday night to prepare for the upcoming August sports events. After calling the meeting to order and reviewing the minutes from the previous meeting, Chris Macon presented in the president’s report that he estimated 16 confirmed teams for the upcoming Lionbackers Golf Tournament with the possibility of around 20 teams entering before the deadline.
