Lions fall in playoff action

Jamar Goodwin concluded his career at Ennis High Tuesday with 15 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots.

Hewitt Midway’s gym played host to a pair of major upsets on Tuesday night.

First, the Hutto Hippos — the fourth-place team in 16-4A — managed to lead most of the game in a 65-62 bi-district upset of the No. 8 Ennis Lions (26-6). Then Waxahachie — the fourth-place team in 15-4A — was able to stun No. 12 Pflugerville Hendrickson 67-63. Of course, anything came happen in postseason play.
