Lions rally past host Poteet in the clutch, 5-3

The Ennis Lions nearly lost their second district game on Saturday at Mesquite Poteet, but the maroon team never gave in to adversity.

Ennis (9-4-1, 5-1) scored three runs in the seventh inning to tie the game, and then put up two more runs in the eighth to beat Poteet 5-3. Poteet finished with more hits (8-7) and fewer errors (0-1).
