Local cadet graduates from West Point

Mark Warde, editor@ennisdailynews.com

Former Ennis High School student Spence Currie Morton graduated on May 28 from the U.S. Military Academy. Now a Second Lieutenant, he was a cadet in the 4th Regiment, and part of the Third Battalion in Company G.

Morton majored in psychology and specialized in military intelligence, both of which are areas he can pursue after five years of active duty. Next up for him and his new bride, Kelly, who also graduated from West Point Academy, will be four months of intelligence training for officers in Arizona.
