Avalon ISD Names Marshall as Lone Finalist Superintendent Del Bosque Set to Retire This Year

Former Ennis graduate Khris Marshall is expected to be the next Supt. at Avalon. Khristopher Marshall was named the lone finalist for the superintendent position with the Avalon ISD. Before an official contract offer can be tendered by the school board of trustees, a 21-day time period, mandated by the state, must take place. An office administrator said Thursday that March 21 or 22 is the date when Marshall may sign and be declared the new superintendent. He will follow Dr. David Del Bosque, who has held the post for the past 17 years. Marshall, 45, graduated from Ennis H.S. in 1992. He played quarterback for the Lions for two seasons and was a standout in both basketball and track.
