Elaina Kay on Tap for Bluebonnet Fest

As planning continues for the 67th annual Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival new performing acts are signing on to appear on specific dates of the three day event that takes place the weekend of April 12-14. Although some portions of the entertainment program have yet to be announced by the Ennis Convention and Visitors Bureau (ECVB), a number of musical artists have confirmed their appearance at the 2019 festival. This year’s event is sponsored by Ennis Regional Medical Center. One of the more anticipated musicians scheduled for Bluebonnet Fest is Elaina Kay, a new name on the country scene who has attracted much attention lately. Produced by Paul Cauthen, Kay’s new album was recorded at Dallas’ Modern Electric. On the album she is backed by The Texas Gentlemen. According to a press release, “Elaina’s moody soprano slides from breathy storytelling to golden-era country songbirding and back again, nuanced and captivating. She wrote or co-wrote every track, and the result is a layered collection that is both starkly personal and intensely relatable.” Read stories like this and more in your latest edition of The Ennis News.
