Ennis’ Coleman Pens Essay on Love Senior Earns College Funds for MLK Writing


The power of love was contemplated by several high school students this past Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, but one student’s meditation on the topic stood out above the rest. Ennis High School senior Carley Coleman expressed her thoughts on love’s power through an impactful piece of prose that she entered in the Unity in the Community essay contest. Coleman was one of several to be recognized at an event at the San Jacinto Auditorium where Dr. King and his contribution to the Civil Rights movement were celebrated.
