Harriet Adams to open new shop – Plans gift store for Raphael House

Harriett Adams, whose Ennis Avenue house was the site of a traditional “watch party” at the National Polka Festival parade over the weekend, is soon to open the historic residence for business. To be called “The Shop at the Raphael House,” the gift store will offer “something for everyone,” Adams said. The interior designer grew up in Marshall, attended Texas Christian University, where she was a cheerleader, and moved to Ennis in 1996, buying the beautiful Raphael House from Dana Cody who had restored the old place in the late 1980s.
