Man arrested for aggravated assault against an officer

Ennis police said they arrested a man on Feb. 23 after he threatened and attempted to assault officers. Lt. Mike Hopson said police received a call at 10:16 a.m. after the owner of a business, located at 509 Lake Bardwell Drive, called to report that an employee was out of control, irate and destroying company property. Shortly after officers arrived, police identified the man as David Bartel. Officers approached the area where the subject was reported and made contact with Bartel.
