Maypearl residents gather for prayer

For Maypearl, the past week has been about healing from accusations made against its former police chief, Kevin Coffey.

On Tuesday, for the second time in four days, some of the residents of Maypearl gathered at Maypearl City Hall to begin that healing process with prayer.

“I think for a lot of us it’s a feeling of betrayal,” said Maypearl Mayor Adele Mooney after the prayer meeting.
