Midlothian takes tournament from Ennis

The second day of the inaugural Ellis County Futures Baseball Tournament proved to be exciting and unexpected. A younger Midlothian Panther team faced the older American Legion Senior Titans and proved they were a team to be reckoned with.

The group of sophomores held their own over the seniors and kept the game tied 1-1 until an umpire called the game in the fifth inning because of a disruption. The ruling resulted in a forfeit for the Titans and the Panthers were awarded a 7-0 victory as a result of the forced forfeit.
