Nelson shares growth strategies

Future economic growth in Ennis has begun to move from an idea to strategy in recent months.

Working alongside and assisting with a plan has been The Retail Coach, a consulting firm out of Houston. Their study revealed Ennis has a 40,000 person market area — including those who live, work and trade in the market area — leading to a retail market profile, Marty Nelson, economic development coordinator, said.

“The purpose of the RMP is to put the vital information that retailers, site selectors and developers need to make a decision about coming to Ennis in a single marketing product,” Nelson said.
