New curriculum system almost identical to prior

The much-maligned CSCOPE curriculum management system is being replaced with a nearly identical substitute.

Kathy Cikanek, assistant superintendent of curriculum and instruction, said the TEKS Resource System is the same curriculum alignment system as CSCOPE, but lacks the lessons which drew fire from what Cikanek called “extremist groups.”
